After winning a gold medal with the Women's Olympic team in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Leslie became one of the original members of the Los Angeles Sparks when the WNBA's first season opened in 1997. She had stated her intentions of dunking in a game before the first season even started, and she tried to dunk the ball on the first game of that season, against the New York Liberty, but she missed. She led the WNBA in rebounds in 1997 (9.5 rpg) and 1998 (10.2 rpg).

i read a book called cultural history of the united states. the tv show mtv first broadcast was august 1st 1981. in 1980 john lennon was murdered. prine and micheal jackson where very hip and cool back then. the two best women where tina turner anf cyndi lauper. the vcr came out in the 1980s and people would stop going to movies but it was the oposite. the bill cosby show was on of the most watched tv shows. they made small raio cd players called eight tracks, my dad still has his.

i read the news paper wwhen i was at my grandma and granndpas. its called the hareld i read the front page right away and my cousin erik was on the front page because he returned a football and almost got a touchdown. then i read about the schools changes and all the things they have done to the school. when i was 12 we moved away from new york mills. its a really small town. there is a girl from nym going to state for singles tennis.

I read a little bit of the book the monster. it is about a guy who lived in harlem and moved away to a different town for collge. their are not that many black people in his school. he has a few friends and has a job. he does not go hame on holidays. because it costs to much to get there. So over christmas break he goes with one of his friend to harlem. The girl he is going out with does not have a phone so he can not get a hold of her very often. He feels very wierd when he goes back to harlem. Thats all folks.
