overcoming odds
In a recent speech by Barrack Obama he was quoted as saying, “…that our nation has overcome obstacles in the past and that we will do so again” (Senator Tom Corbon). Here Barrack compares his issues to past presidents and overcoming tough situations. He is trying to fix economy, remove troops from the war, help give tax breaks to the poor and middle class, and help reform the medical and educational system. All of these issues are presenting obstacles to the new president. He also overcame obstacles by being voted in as the first black president. Everyday he faces people that do not agree with his ideas and must try to make other happy. He also is left fixing a lot of Bush’s problems. The rest of his life he will have to overcome obstacles to get the job done. He seems ready to do it though!

interesting post. i think that in our future, President Bush will be viewed as a great and hororable president because of the tough things that he had to do, like the war. war has never been easy, and war is not good or bad but in some situations it is necessary. i'm still waiting for the day to come when Condalisa Rice becomes our president. good paragraph!
